FREE basic specification and sourcing-requirements review
Eligible first orders may receive up to 3%
Eligibility applies to qualified business buyers and is confirmed after we review your product, quantity, destination, and sourcing requirements. Final savings depend on supplier confirmation, product type and order value.
This page coordinates shell and tube heat exchanger manufacturers replies for a scoped factory inquiry. We ask each bidder to quote the same fluids, heat duty, fouling allowance, allowable pressure drop and commissioning boundary. Shell And Tube Heat Exchanger Sourcing is an independent sourcing partner; a manufacturer reply is not an appointment by this site and is not a claim that we audited the plant. Compare included items before treating two factory documents as the same offer. Public directories such as Thomas and DirectIndustry describe supplier discovery; they do not replace a named reply for this duty.
Service stage and responsibilities
| Decision point | Evidence or question |
|---|---|
| Supplier shortlist: Equipment scope | Ask each factory to restate bundle type, metallurgy, heat duty, working pressure on shell and tube, and whether tubes can be accessed in the stated work envelope. A shortlist that only names company size is not comparable. Throughput-style kW figures without flow rate and temperatures are incomplete. |
| Price exclusions | Flag insulation, spare gaskets, tube plugs, lifting beams, installation, shipping, training, commissioning and SAT travel when they are absent. Tooling for bundle extraction is often extra. Those gaps are comparison items, not hidden discounts. |
| Response basis | A usable manufacturer response restates thermal calculation assumptions, leakage test method and included documents. This service does not sign FAT or SAT. Owner acceptance remains with the buyer after contract language is written. |
Remaining buyer inputs include cooling water quality, three-phase supply for any skid, connected load if motors are quoted, footprint, PLC interface names, optional budget (currency, per-unit or whole-order) and supplier preference (premium, mid-range, budget-friendly, or not sure). Preference is a buyer selection, not a verified factory rating.
Single-exchanger quotes and integrated-train quotes should not share one total unless interfaces, staffing and acceptance boundaries are named. Nominal heat duty and validated outlet temperature at a measured flow rate are different numbers; request test conditions. Machine price and installed project cost are also different: tooling, shipping, utilities, installation and spare parts should sit on separate lines. Cycle time for cleaning after changeover is a maintenance fact, not an implied free option.
An open manufacturer sheet dated 2026-09-17 that lists shell/tube design pressure 13/13 bar(g) is used only as a unit checklist. It is a maritime U-tube example, not a universal rating and not an affiliation. Steam flow in kg/h, if relevant, must be restated for the buyer’s duty. Viscosity and feedstock chemistry stay buyer-supplied. Positioning of nozzles is confirmed on drawings, not inferred from a photograph.
