Shell And Tube Heat Exchanger Sourcing

Shell And Tube Heat Exchanger Sourcing coordinates factory quotes for shell-and-tube thermal equipment. The service does not manufacture exchangers, hold inventory or present itself as an original-equipment seller or brand-appointed reseller. Certificates, capacity statements and warranty wording belong to the named supplier on each reply. Buyers keep decision ownership for specification, budget preference and contract acceptance. No founding year, plant count or savings percentage is published because those facts are not on file for this service.

Supplier responsibilities

We collect fluid, heat-duty and delivery facts, restate them into a consistent RFQ, and return comparable factory wholesale quotes. We do not approve plants, issue pressure-equipment marks, or treat outlet temperature on the buyer’s process as a site-owned result. Supplier responsibilities on a quotation are the items the factory agrees to design, test and ship; they are not transferred to this coordinator.

Supplier responsibilities: Equipment scope

The factory restates shell-side and tube-side fluids, heat duty, working pressure, metallurgy and whether the bundle can be drawn in the proposed service clearance. Open manufacturer pages that list design pressure in bar(g) are checklists, not affiliation. Feedstock chemistry and viscosity remain buyer data.

Price exclusions

The factory must mark insulation, spare gaskets, tube plugs, freight, installation, training, commissioning and SAT travel when they are outside the exchanger price. Missing marks are exclusions. Cooling water treatment, compressed air for actuators and PLC interface hardware are also site-cost items unless written in.

Response basis

A supplier outcome is a thermal calculation with named fouling and property assumptions plus a leakage and hydrostatic method. FAT and SAT language stays on the buyer–supplier contract. No numerical saving is published without matching scope. Optional budget notes help search; they are not a factory rating.

Remaining buyer inputs include destination, quantity, duty cycle (shift hours and cleaning frequency), three-phase supply for any skid, connected load if motors are quoted, footprint and whether FAT is witnessed. Mark unknowns. Do not invent steam flow in kg/h when the duty is liquid–liquid.

Process engineers and maintenance engineers may add work envelope sketches, spare-parts lists and PLC interface names after the first quote round. Those additions change site work more than they change the independent role of this service. Throughput language is replaced here by heat duty at a named flow rate. Cycle time refers to cleaning or bundle handling, not a packaging machine. Changeover between fouling and clean services is a documented duty, not an assumed free option. Tooling means extraction gear and gaskets, not molds.

When a factory cites 13/13 bar(g) or a steam kg/h figure from a public U-tube sheet observed 2026-09-17, we treat that text as a supplier document to be reconfirmed against the buyer’s temperatures. We do not copy those figures into a site-owned rating. Working pressure, flow rate and cooling water quality stay inquiry fields. Positioning tolerance of nozzles is confirmed on drawings. Supply frequency in Hz must match the US plant if electric auxiliaries are included.
